I read today (19/02/2009) an article on The Republic by Alexander Stille. It offers a precise analysis of the reasons for the neglect Italian (news and public opinion) to consider uninteresting social condemnation lawyer Mills. At first instance, this man was found guilty of lying to defend the interests of his briber. The briber is Silvio Berlusconi, our current Prime Minister.

I read, again in La Repubblica, a compendium of Antonello Caporale, dove Ghedini (avvocato di Berlusconi) affermerebbe: “La condannda di Mills? E’ una cosa marginale e Berlusconi l’ha presa con disinteresse. Lui è impegnato a governare.”
Cerco di studiare l’illuminismo in questi giorni. Condillac affermava che l’unica possibilità cognitiva dell’uomo è attraverso i sensi. Il movente di tale ricerca è il piacere, puro e semplice piacere.
Se è vero, come credo stramaledettamente, la strumentalizzazione della nostra riflessione sulla realtà è stata indirizzata a renderci indifferenti.
